The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (DPLH) is seeking a full time Senior Heritage Officer.
DPLH is responsible for planning and managing land and heritage for all West Australians – now and into the future.
The Opportunity
This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders, through meaningful engagement and early, open and transparent communication, enabling sustainable growth opportunities so communities are best placed to thrive and become places where people want to live, work and recreate. This role supports the management, promotion and preservation of cultural heritage and fostering good outcomes for Aboriginal places, and promoting regulatory compliance through administration of statutory functions.
The Department currently has one (1) fixed-term position to 30/6/2023 with the possibility of extension or permanency. This is a full-time position, (however consideration may be given to applicants seeking part-time opportunities.) This process may be used to fill future similar permanent or fixed-term positions that may arise across the WA public sector in the next 12 months from the initial date of appointment.
