The Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia Limited (ALSWA) is cureently seeking Criminal Lawyers for their Perth Office.
The lawyer is required to provide legal assistance, including appearing as counsel in criminal matters in metropolitan or regional courts, including pleas in mitigation, bail applications and summary trials. They may also be required to appear as counsel in the District and Supreme Courts, including jury trials, and providing advice and mentoring to staff within ALSWA’s Perth Criminal Law Unit and regional offices.
Whilst based in ALSWA’s Perth office, regular travel to circuit courts at various locations is a requirement. Other responsibilities include weekend court appearances (on a rostered basis).
The annual salary is between $74,000 – $135,000 plus superannuation and salary packaging.
