Ebenezer Aboriginal Corporation: Family Support Worker

Ebenezer Aboriginal Corporation is seeking an Aboriginal Family Support Worker.

The Kaarditjin Baldja - Learning Together program works in collaboration with a local high school and six feeder primary schools. The objective of the program is to provide transitional support to school aged children in years 5-7 and their families to enhance engagement and progress in high school.

This role works closely with students and families to assess their needs, develop support plans and strengthen their skills. This is to strengthen the students engagement and progress in their educational development, by establishing a strong foundation for their high school years.

The role does require after-school work with families who require transportation to sport and other training. Late afternoon work can be shared among the team.

Being Aboriginal or a Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational requirement for this position under s 50 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).   Women are strongly encouraged to apply. 

It’s a full-time role based in Malaga with an immediate start.
