Aboriginal Water and Environment Advisory Group

The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation is seeking expressions of interest from Aboriginal people as regional representatives from across Western Australia to become members of the Aboriginal Water and Environment Advisory Group.

The purpose of the Advisory Group is to ensure that Aboriginal knowledge, values and needs are considered and appropriately addressed across the department’s strategies, policies, programs and planning for the management and regulation of the state’s environment and water resources. 

Applicants must have knowledge that includes Aboriginal land and sea management, conservation and cultural management, effective communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, a strong understanding of policy and planning, and experience on committees or similar governance bodies.  

Expressions of Interest (EOI) forms should be submitted by 30 August 2022 and include a current resume outlining your experience relevant to this position.
