This morning Play School's Yarning and Dreaming Special aired on ABC, and it’s now available to watch anytime on ABC iview and on the ABC Kids app.
Presented by Miah Madden and Luke Carroll, Play School’s Yarning and Dreaming celebrates Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children. This episode is a celebration of First Nation songs and stories. With special guest artist Christine Anu this Play School special will encourage audiences to acknowledge Country and share their hopes and dreams for the future.
SWALSC consulted on Kiya's adventure on Noongar boodja, along with other contributors to the episode including SNAICC-National Voice for our Children, The Koori Curriculum and Reconciliation Australia. SWALSC will be continuing to consult on Kiya’s stories in the future, allowing us to share kaartdijin of culture and heritage with children all around Australia.
