Election Notice for SWALSC Director for Ballardong Ward

Election of a Director pursuant to the SWALSC Rule Book

Nominations are called from eligible candidates for the election of a SWALSC Director in the Ballardong Ward, due to the resignation of the current Director. The term of office for the successful candidate will be until the Annual General Meeting of the Corporation in 2023.

Nominations are now open and will be accepted until 12 noon on Wednesday 22nd December 2021.

Candidates must contact the independent Returning Officer in order to receive a Nominations Pack. This Pack will contain all the required information which the candidate needs to complete to be eligible for nomination. The Nomination Pack must be received by the Returning Officer by 12 noon Wednesday 22nd December

The Returning Officer will undertake a preliminary check on completeness of the potential candidates’ information and will then forward it to the Nominations Committee of the Noongar Boodja Trust, which will undertake a vetting process against the eligibility criteria for Member Elected Directors as outlined in the SWALSC Rule Book.

 

National Police Certificate (NPC): 

Candidate nominations must include an acceptable NPC which is no more than 12 months old at the time of close of nominations. Acceptable NPCs are issued by the WA Police (or other applicable state police) and can take 2-3 weeks from application. Application forms for an NPC can be obtained from a participating Australia Post outlet, OR online at:

Ballot and voting:

If more than one eligible nomination is received and cleared by the Nominations Committee, an election will take place. The ballot for the election will open on Friday 11th February 2022 and close on Friday 11th March 2022, with the count occurring on Friday 18th March 2022. Votes will be counted and the election results declared on that day.
