The Cooperative Research Centre for Transformations in Mining Economies (CRC TiME) is an independent, not for profit, research organisation formed to support transformational change enabling regions and communities to transition to a prosperous and sustainable post-mine future.
CRC-TiME is co-hosted by the University of Western Australia and the University of Queensland with offices in Perth and Brisbane and has ‘regional hubs’ in key mining areas. CRC TiME acknowledges the Traditional Owners and their custodianship of the lands on which they work.
CRC TiME is committed to First Nations Inclusion and in late 2021 the Board endorsed 10 key principles as part of the 2021-2024 Strategic Plan.
First Nations Engagement Manager
As part of the management team, the First Nations Engagement Manager will provide guidance, advice and direction to the CRC team to integrate First Nations priorities and perspectives across the organisation’s research, partnership and engagement activities.
They will also engage with First Nations people, communities and organisations to facilitate engagement, co-design and information-sharing, with the aim of ensuring prosperous and sustainable post-mine futures. This may include working with First Nations people, communities and organisations to apply research findings to support their aspirations and priorities.
This includes supporting communities to bring their knowledge, experience and skills into the co-design of projects. The First Nations Engagement Manager will also represent the CRC at various events, forums and engagements to promote the CRC and share lessons, findings and recommendations from its research and activities.

Business Manager
As an integral member of the management team, this position offers the opportunity to lead and manage the corporate activities of the business. Specifically, this position has responsibility for the financial, employment and contractual affairs of the Company, liaises with CRC TiME staff and its corporate member organisations.
The Business Manager will also have a significant role in developing the financial and management accounts for the CRC and the Board as well as act as Company Secretary providing expert advice on corporate governance issues to the Chairman and Board Directors. Candidates without the experience appropriate for the role of Company Secretary may still apply, with training or external support opportunities then considered.
