The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking to fill a full time role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Engagement Officer, based in Perth.
The Centre of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Statistics has a leadership and coordination role for national statistical activity about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. They engage with communities across a range of statistical activities and outputs such as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and social surveys, the five-yearly Census of Population and Housing, administrative data, data integration projects, and more.
The section has key partnerships with community organisations, the ABS Round Table on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Statistics, the National Indigenous Australians Agency, the Productivity Commission, the Department of Social Services, and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
The annual salary for this role is $107,000.
