ALSWA: Custody Wellbeing Service Support Worker

The Aboriginal Legal Service of WA is seeking a Custody Wellbeing Service (CWS) Support Worker (Female).

The main role of the CWS Support Worker is to provide culturally secure face-to-face support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander detainees at the Perth Watch House (PWH) including identification of immediate medical and other wellbeing needs; cultural counselling and mentoring; referrals to ALSWA services and external services as appropriate; and support with contact to family and other support persons. 

Aboriginality is a genuine qualification for this position as per section 50(d) of the Equal Employment Opportunity Act 1984.

The role works in the Custody Wellbeing Service - Perth Watch House and ALSWA Perth Office. The annual salary range is $63,962 – $75,818 plus superannuation and salary packaging.
